CPC30111 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying
We deliver the nationally recognised CPC30111 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying.
This qualification provides a trade outcome in bricklaying and blocklaying.
Occupational titles may include:
- Bricklayer
- Blocklayer
The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.
Apprentices completing CPC30111 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying will undertake three years of competency based training. Individual training plans are developed based on both the apprentice and employer’s needs. Specific training sessions are arranged in consultation and cooperation with the apprentice’s employer.
The qualification has compulsory requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work, which can be chosen by the apprentice and employer.
Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
Building Skills Centre has a number of trainers and assessors, qualified in particular disciplines and trades. Each apprentice will have the benefit of receiving training from two or three Building Skills Centre trainers throughout the duration of their apprenticeship training.
27 units of competency are required for award of this qualification:
